Frequently Asked Questions
  1. What areas do you service?
    VLP currently services Greentree, Mount Washington, Carnegie, and Scott Township but please call if you are outside of those areas and located in the South Hills and we can try to accommodate you.
  2. Are you insured?
    Yes. We are insured through Pet Sitters Associates. We have liability insurance that includes coverage for your pets, your home, and your personal property are covered in the event of injury or accidental damage.
  3. Do you walk my dog during bad weather?
    In the best interest of both your dog and Viva La Pooch! Pet Concierge walks will not occur if the temperature is below 25F or above 90F or if heavy rain prevent normal walking conditions.
  4. If I get stuck at work and need someone to feed and walk my dog in the evening can you help?
    Just give us a call or send a text, and we will do our best to accommodate you. A New Customer Consultation must occur for this service to be offered.
  5. Will you administer my pet’s medication during your visit?
    Yes. We can administer medication during our time with your pet. Injections can be given for an additional $6 per shot.

    Yes, references are available upon request.
  1. NEW CUSTOMER CONSULTATION
    An initial consultation is needed before any service can begin. They can be scheduled on weekday afternoons or evenings and must occur at least 48 hours prior to beginning services. A free consultation at your home last about 30-45 minutes.
  2. NEW CUSTOMER CONSULTATION Cont'
    During the consultation we will go over paperwork, tour your home, and discuss any details on pet and home care. Please have 2 sets of house keys & a copy of your dog’s vaccination records.
  3. KEY POLICY
    Please have two sets of house keys at the time of your consultation to begin service. We would be happy to arrange a time to pick up your keys, but there will be a $5.00 fee.
  4. PAYMENT
    Payment is due at the time of service. You can leave cash for us to pick up at your home or you can pay via Venmo or Pay Pal.
  5. CANCELING SERVICES - Dog Walking
    You can cancel your services up to 24 hours before they are scheduled at no charge. However, there’s a $5.00 cancellation fee if you cancel services with less than 24 hours’ notice of your scheduled services.

  1. CANCELING SERVICES - Pet Sitting/ Transportation
    8+ Days notice - No charge and full deposit refund, 2-7 Days notice - 80% refund, 0-48 Hours notice - No refund, Holiday cancellations - No Refund.
  2. PET SITTING DEPOSIT
    Overnight guests staying 3 or more days require a 20% deposit at the time of booking.
  3. WALKER ARRIVAL TIME
    Your walker will arrive to your home during your two-hour window. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee a specific time within that two-hour window because of the potential for unforeseen delays walkers may encounter, as well as travel time.
  4. IN CASE OF EMERGENCY
    In case of an emergency or there is cause for medical concern, VLP will contact the owner by phone. If your pet is in a life-threatening situation, they will be taken directly to their veterinarian you provide in our information packet.
  5. PET BEHAVIOR
    Viva La Pooch! reserves the right to refuse or terminate services for a dog that is a danger to our walkers. Unfortunately, we can’t care for dogs with a history of biting or ones who are aggressive.
